"We rescued a pony 3 years ago that had been badly beaten, he could not bring himself to trust humans, his behaviours were unpredictable and sharp, and we could hardly put a hand on him without a kick with front or back legs. Megan has been working with him now for several months, and the pony has turned inside out! He is calm and affectionate, walks over for cuddles, hops up his hooves to get his feet done. When his training is complete he will be a super pony. Megan Hines has really worked magic with him! Highly recommended." ~ Tiffa
"I love Megan’s method of teaching she is both kind and gentle with the horses and the humans involved. She never makes me feel wrong for asking a million questions and she is so encouraging and so good for confidence building. After our coaching sessions she would send me emails of what we covered in the lesson to check back on anything I may have forgotten and I find that extremely helpful it’s easy to forget a few weeks down the line what we had covered. She is very knowledgeable and is happy to share as much as she can with you which I didn’t have with previous instructors. We have been in contact most of the time between coaching sessions and she really goes out of her way to give you more information on whatever it is that you ask for. Megan really goes into great detail when coaching and she puts things in a way that it’s easy to understand. She has taught me so much and is helping me to achieve everything I wish to achieve from connection training and more.
I would highly recommend Megan to anyone and do so on a regular basis to any of my horsey friends." ~ Amy, Connection Training Member
"Megan Hines is an excellent coach and horse trainer, with great expertise in dealing with traumatised rescue horses, ponies, and donkeys. I would not hesitate to go to her for lessons either in person or online, and if I ever needed to send my horses anywhere for training, I would happily trust Megan with any of them." ~ Judith Edel, Positive Equitation (UK)
"Megan introduced me to clicker training over Skype and with only videos of me training my horse she gave useful advice and was a great support to our progress! I would definitely recommend her as a teacher and mentor as she listens well and has a whole host of ideas of how to move forward when you hit a rough spot." ~ Petra (Online Coaching)
"I wanted to learn more about horse training with positive reinforcement. I would like to train horses in a friendly way without pressure and force. I learned the technique of clicker training. I improved my timing, my precision and my ability to read the horses feelings (tension). It was very interesting to see the differences in the horse’s behavior when I implemented the hints of Megan.
Megan was always friendly and patient! She gave hints at the right moments but also let me try on my own. I learned a lot! We always had a funny and good time and she had an eye on the horses’ feelings – that everybody was happy before, during and after the training. Thank you for the many many great lessons! It was and is a pleasure to train with you and to learn from you! ~ Katja
"I had the opportunity to spend a month with Megan and learn about how to live and love horses. I think she is an excellent coach, always encouraging us, congratulating us and respecting the time of those equines that we were with. She has a great heart and is a very open-minded person, who accepts any recommendation that can be given. She is a being with a lot of peace and constantly transmits that calmness towards animals. Always look for the welfare of all animals and that they feel comfortable with where they are. It is admirable how those horses love and respect her. I hope more people have the opportunity to learn about it. I recommend it totally, both as a coach and as a teacher." ~ Dafne
